Will the print on thermal paper fade over time?
Thermal paper naturally fades over time depending on storage conditions such as heat, sunlight, moisture, friction, and chemical exposure. For best results, receipts should be stored in cool, dry conditions away from direct sunlight.
A useful thing to consider here: many customers assume all thermal paper performs equally long-term, but paper quality and GSM do matter significantly. Lower GSM paper can be more cost-effective, but it may not preserve print as long in harsh environments.
